  • Does Coolsculpting treatment cause weight loss? Myth!

  • Is the procedure painful? Myth!

In general, no diet is mandatory to perform the treatment. However, since we are dealing with localized fat, it is best to follow a healthy diet for long-lasting results.

  • Are there side effects? It’s true!

The treatment has a safety protocol against injuries caused by cooling the skin, but some side effects may occur, such as: redness, itching, and numbness in the first days after the treatment. However, there are also rare side effects such as: darkening of the skin, frostbite, some hardened nodules at the application site, and paradoxical hyperplasia, i.e. an enlargement of the region. In these cases, surgical intervention may be necessary for treatment.

But, it is important to reinforce that, to minimize the risks, it is necessary that the patient performs the procedure with a specialist doctor, such as a plastic surgeon.

  • Can I develop any skin allergies with the treatment? Myth!

In general, the procedure does not cause allergies, but it is contraindicated for patients allergic to cold.
