We all know the importance of gut health, yet few of us take steps to improve it. Fortunately, plenty of supplements are available that can help improve your gut health and keep you feeling great. From probiotics to best hydrate drops, here are five ways you can use supplements to improve your gut health.

1.Probiotics

One of the best ways to improve your gut health is to take probiotics. These live bacteria and yeasts help break down certain food components and aid digestion. Studies have shown that probiotic supplements can reduce inflammation in the gut, reduce symptoms such as bloating and stomach pain, and even prevent or treat diarrhoea caused by antibiotics or infection.

2.Prebiotics

Prebiotics are compounds that work with probiotics to support digestive processes and overall health. They feed beneficial bacteria in the gut so that they can do their job more efficiently and produce even more beneficial substances for our bodies. Many foods contain prebiotics, such as onions, garlic, apples and bananas, but if you want to get extra benefits from these compounds, supplementing with a prebiotic powder or capsule could be a good idea.

3.Best hydrate drops

Best Hydrate drops are a type of electrolyte supplement that helps maintain adequate levels of water in our bodies, while also providing essential minerals such as sodium and potassium, which help promote muscle contractions during exercise sessions, as well as improved digestion throughout the day. In addition, these drops can help restore electrolytes lost through dehydration or sweating during intense exercise or other physical activity, so they can be used both during and after periods of activity when replenishing fluids is necessary for optimal performance, but especially for better gut health.

4.Digestive enzymes

Digestive enzymes are responsible for breaking down carbohydrates, proteins, fats, fibres, starches, etc. into smaller parts so that they can be absorbed by our intestinal cells for later conversion into an energy source. Taking supplemental enzymes before each meal not only aids digestion but also helps to reduce bloating, cramping, indigestion, gas pains, etc., as these problems are often caused by the incomplete breakdown of food consumed during meals. So make sure you include digestive enzyme supplements in your daily regimen if that’s something that’s currently missing from your diet.

5.Fibre supplements

Fibre plays an important role in keeping our bowels healthy by promoting regular bowel movements, preventing constipation and reducing cholesterol levels, among other benefits, so try adding fibre supplements to your daily diet if it’s something you’re currently lacking. There are different types of fibre available, such as psyllium husk, apple pectin, oat bran etc, which provide different forms of fibre, so choose wisely according to personal preference. Whatever form you take, make sure you stick to the recommended doses, as too much fibre at once can cause abdominal discomfort or bloating!
